Cumberland Heights Foundation, with its Christ-centered mission of transforming lives through recovery, envisioned new residential accommodations that embody dignity, community, and healing. Bauer Askew Architecture designed two 40-bed cottages with counseling, treatment, and shared living spaces that foster connection. Organized in L-shaped forms around private courtyards, the cottages engage the pastoral Tennessee campus while refining its vernacular. Housing 20 semi-private suites each—convertible to private executive suites—the residences balance privacy and camaraderie, strengthening the Foundation’s mission and creating spaces for reflection, renewal, and recovery.
