Offering music instruction to more than 400 children a week, the school desired a space that reflects the quality of its mission – a facility conducive to teaching, nurturing, and inspiring children. Transforming an existing tire warehouse, this new 20,000 sf facility includes a reception/gallery space, a 250-seat performance space, education (music, instruction, and practice) rooms, and administrative offices. Creating a sophisticated, inspiring, and fun place to learn, utilizing lasting yet common materials in a timeless way was the concept of the design.
