The new Higher Education Center in Bedford County will expand TCAT Shelbyville’s teaching capacity and provide space for higher education partners, supporting industrial development and high-tech job training. The campus features academic and shop buildings surrounding a central courtyard, with the academic building prominently facing Highway 231. Facilities include spaces for student services, workforce training, nursing and technology labs, and shop areas for automotive, HVACR, industrial maintenance, welding, and more, creating a hub for education and community growth. This center will serve as a front door for the industrial park and assist the county with their industrial development recruitment efforts and training needs.
